I’m talking on the phone to a friend just before leaving for yoga class, wearing my tight leggings and flip flops, when I hear a knock at the door. That’s strange, I wasn’t expecting anyone. I tell my friend that I’ll call her back and get up to answer the door as he starts knocking again. I yell that I’m coming and to hang on, and as I open the door, the man tries to enter my house telling me that there was an accident and he needs to use my phone. He is really frantic and begging me, so I go against my instinct and let him come in from cold. I grab my cell phone off the couch and start to unlock it for him when he grabs me from behind, holding a cloth tightly over my mouth and nose! I try to gasp for air but as I do I get extremely dizzy and quickly fall limp as I am knocked out from inhaling the toxic substance.
When I finally wake up I am all taped up to a chair! My head is hurting me and it takes me a minute to gather my surroundings as I ask what is happening, but then I notice the man from the ‘accident’ and realize that he did this to me! I start calling for help as he covers my mouth with several strips of duct tape to keep me quiet. I am frightened by how tightly he has bound and gagged me, I hope he doesn’t plan to hurt me! Then he breaks the news that he has seen me around wearing some fine expensive jewels and he is here to find them! I try to tell him through my gag that they are no longer here and that I’ve had them placed in a security deposit box, but of course, he doesn’t know what I am trying to say through my gag! He leaves me along struggling as he searches for the non-existent jewelry. I desperately try to get free, I don’t want to know what he is going to do to me when he can’t find them! I spot my phone and try to reach for it, and just when my fingertips finally get to it, I drop it on the floor. I continue wiggling around and moaning through my gag as I stretch my legs and bare soles to try and reach my cell phone so I can call for help!
Then I end up struggling so hard that I fall over on my side, with the chair still stuck to me! I wiggle around, trying to break free from the chair, but it’s no use, the tape is way too strong! I resume my attempt at calling for help and think maybe I can dial the phone with my nose. Just then the man returns to catch me in the act. He questions how I got like this, and takes my phone away, putting it in his pocket so that I have no chance at retrieving it. He sits the chair back up as he tells me he hasn’t been able to find the jewels and is going to bring over some more talented thieves to help him look. He closes the door behind him as I try to yell and scream for him not to leave me like this! Now I’m stuck here helplessly bound with duct tape with no cell phone and no chance of escape!
